MLS NEXT Academy Division
A New Elite Pathway for Players in Southern California
California Athletic Soccer Club (CASC) has officially been accepted into the MLS NEXT Academy Division, one of the highest levels of youth soccer development in North America.
Beginning in the upcoming season, CASC will field boys MLS NEXT Academy Division teams from U13 through U19, giving ambitious players in Crescenta Valley, Santa Clarita Valley, and the San Fernando Valley access to one of the top youth development platforms in the country.

What is MLS Next Academy Division?
MLS NEXT was launched by Major League Soccer to transform youth player development across the United States and Canada. The platform brings together top academies to provide elite training environments, consistent competition standards, and a structured pathway designed to prepare players for the collegiate, professional, and national team levels.
Acceptance into the MLS NEXT Academy Division represents an important milestone for California Athletic Soccer Club and reflects the club’s continued commitment to providing a high-level development environment for players throughout Southern California. CASC continues to grow as one of the leading youth development clubs in the region, serving players throughout Crescenta Valley, Santa Clarita Valley, and the San Fernando Valley.
For CASC players, the addition of MLS NEXT Academy Division teams creates a clear pathway for those pursuing the highest level of competition and development. The program emphasizes professional training standards, high-level competition, and long-term player growth.

While CASC will now operate MLS NEXT Academy Division teams, the club will continue to field a full range of competitive teams within the SoCal Soccer League, which remains a vital part of the club’s overall structure and development pathway. These teams will continue to provide strong competitive environments for players across all age groups.
