Background

In 2010 Jamel Wallace was drafted by the Seattle Sounders in the fourth round of the MLS SuperDraft, playing with the Kitsap Pumas of the USL Premier Development League and Seattle Sounders Reserves. Jamel went on to play for the Richmond Kickers of USL Pro, the Wilmington Hammerheads and Ararat FC Yerevan of the Armenian Premier League.

During his collegiate career at San Diego State University, he made 69 appearances; scoring seven goals and adding one assist. Wallace was Tri-Captain in 2009, earned All-Pac-10 (Second Team) in 2008 and All-Pac-10 (Honorable Mention) in 2007.
