The joy on a kids face when they score a goal, block a shot, make a sliding tackle, or simply making that fancy trick they have been trying to do is what makes soccer the beautiful game. The fun of soccer is what makes children continue to play soccer into their adult years. The #1 reason kids stop playing soccer, however, is because the enjoyment of soccer has been sucked out of playing, whether from over-coaching, too much emphasis on winning, or overbearing parents.
We all know in any sport, only a few make it to the professional level, and sacrifice a lot to become the best.
